JobsSignal ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights — in plain English.
🔒 We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.
1. What Data We Collect
When you register:
- Full name
- Mobile number (used as your account identifier)
- City / location
- Key skills and years of experience
When you sign in with Google:
- Name and email address from your Google account
- Google account ID (to link your account)
- We do not access your Gmail, contacts, or any other Google data
When you use the platform:
- Resume content (only processed for ATS scoring — not stored permanently)
- AI Mock Interview responses and scores
- Plan subscription details and payment confirmation
- Page visit timestamps (anonymous, for analytics)
We do NOT collect:
- Credit/debit card numbers (handled entirely by Razorpay)
- Aadhaar, PAN, or government ID
- Precise GPS location
- Browser history or cookies from other sites
2. How We Use Your Data
- Account management — to identify you when you log in
- ATS Scorecard — your resume is analysed in real-time and not stored after scoring
- AI Mock Interview — your responses are scored and saved to your profile so you can review them
- Plan management — to track your subscription and unlock features accordingly
- Product improvement — anonymous usage data helps us improve the platform
- Support — if you contact us, we use your details to respond
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored on Firebase Realtime Database (Google Cloud), hosted in the Asia-Southeast region (Singapore). This means your data stays within Asia and is subject to Google Cloud's security standards.
Payment transactions are processed by Razorpay — we only receive a payment confirmation ID. We never see or store your card details.
4. Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a unique Google ID only. We use this to create or link your JobsSignal account.
We request only the minimum permissions needed (email and profile scopes). We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google services.
5. Data Sharing
We share your data with the following third parties only to operate the service:
- Firebase (Google) — database storage
- Razorpay — payment processing
- Anthropic Claude API — powers AI Mock Interview (responses are sent for scoring, not stored by Anthropic)
- Cloudflare Workers — API proxy for AI features
✓ We do NOT share your data with recruiters, companies, job portals, or any marketing platforms.
6. Your Rights
- Access — you can request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correction — you can update your name, skills, and city from your dashboard
- Deletion — you can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability — you can request your data in a readable format
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@pingin.in with subject line "Data Request — JobsSignal". We respond within 7 working days.
7. Data Retention
- Your account data is retained as long as your account is active
- If you request deletion, all data is removed within 14 days
- Anonymous analytics data (visit counts) may be retained for up to 12 months
- Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law
8. Children's Privacy
JobsSignal is intended for working professionals and job seekers aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us immediately.
9. Security
We take security seriously:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted)
- Firebase security rules restrict access to your data
- Payments are handled by PCI-DSS compliant Razorpay
- Google OAuth tokens are never stored on our servers
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of JobsSignal after changes means you accept the updated policy.
11. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA). Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
